Very comfortable hand grips. Once assembled, the pull-up bar is sturdy and fits the door frame well. If something breaks under the user’s weight, it will be the wood door casing, not the bar. Some people don’t like the movement where the two halves of the bar snap together. I wrapped enough electrical tape around the inner tube to just barely fit into the outer tube, and that took care of any movement and/or noise. I take 1 start off for the hard plastic ends that rest on the door casing and can leave marks. I wrapped them with black duct tape over 1/4 inch of dense foam. It’s nearly invisible and does the job.
Excellent home conditioning apparatus

This is a versatile little tool for both pullups and low incline pushups. It mounts easily in a doorway and can be taken off in seconds, but it’s secure enough that it can hold my 195 lbs. with no problem at all. It’s quite stable for pullups, but be sure to use the little retaining piece that keeps the flat top bar from slipping while in use. That only takes a second to tap into place on the top moulding of the door frame. I’ve had one for years, and like the core ab roller, I got this for a family member who is working to get back in shape.
Good deal for the money. Sturdy and works fine.

I was hesitant to spend too much on a pull-up bar because I wasn’t sure I would actually use it. I got this for under $20 with free Prime shipping. You could pay more but I can’t imagine it being much better for an over-the-door design like this. No screws, drilling, etc required. The only thing I don’t like is that you must remove it to be able to close the door. But its easy to remove. There are doorway bars that DO allow you to close the door. Some requires screws, others work by tensioning the bar within the door frame (scary.) But those don’t have vertical bars added like this one.

I mistakenly forgot to measure my doors before purchasing (turns out I have a 34″ door frame) but the pull up bar still fit and has been working great! It is made of solid material and has a comfortable grip. Although it is not perfect, as it does mark your doorframe and the bolts do slightly loosen with use causing the handle bars to shift, it is the best pull up bar you can probably find!
Works great but sizing of bolts was a minor issue.
works great and seems well built for the price, light weight and easy to remove. with that said the bolts it came with where short and made it difficult to put together. the problem is either the parts where warped a little of the bolts that it came with where slightly to short. had to force them together, i can see stripping of the bolt threads happening in many cases because of this luckily i managed to piece it together with out stripping the bolts. I suggest tightening the bolts with out the washer at first then loosening and placing the washer back on after the parts have been squished together making it fit as it should. other than that great item.
