I’m happy to report that the Aqua Sphere fits and works …

After reading other reviews about the Aqua Sphere working on a narrow face, I bought this to replace my TYR Arc 180 which I had for 5 years and recently failed. The TYR Arc 180 is no longer available, and was the only one that worked on my narrow face. I’m happy to report that the Aqua Sphere fits and works great! The visibility is as good as the TYR Arc 180 (on the right in the photo), the comfort is the same, and the anti-fog works well. I like the plastic case for protection, and hope to get five years out of the new mask too! The only negative might be that the silicon gasket at the bridge of the nose is slightly smaller than what was on the TYR Arc 180 (see photo). I noticed it as slightly more pressure there, but I can see if you have a small nose bridge you might not get a good seal there. As others have said, every face is different and you may need to try out different styles to find the right one for you. I had tried the HiCool Mask

Best goggles ever!

Most goggles press on my eyeballs. I don’t know if that is common, but I find it painful. Painful enough that I never wore goggles. I started wearing these 10 years ago. They sit far enough away from my eyes that they don’t fog. They are sooooo comfortable, and they don’t leak. I swim laps regularly, and have had many others ask me about them and this is what I find. They fit most faces, of course there are exceptions. They only seem to leak if you way over tighten them. And if you rinse them after swimming in clean water, and refrain from touching the inside of the glass, they don’t fog for a very long time. After a while you will need to use the anti-fog solution like any goggles. They also tighten and loosen much more easily than any goggles I have used. Now they are bigger and sturdier than your normal goggles. However they don’t slow you down much. If you are on a swim team maybe these aren’t for you, but I doubt anyone else would notice the drag. They aren’t great for diving, so maybe if you spend the day horsing around on a diving board I would get something that sits tighter to the eye. And last, I think these are best for men or women with broader faces. They make the Aqua Sphere Vista Lady Swim Mask for women and older girls. And the Aqua Sphere Vista Junior Swim Mask for kids. My family uses all of these products and love them. We have tried other Aqua Sphere goggles and they aren’t nearly as comfortable.

Sleek wraparound styling, like sunglasses with watertight gasket.

I bought these with another pair of goggles.

Great for women, teens, tweens!

My son is 13 & super hard to fit- too large for kids’ goggles and with a funny shaped head so that adult goggles are often too wide. Other goggles leak and are frustrating, or have to be tightened such that they hurt. These are AMAZING! They are comfortable, do not leak, do not pinch, and give great visibility. Incidentally, they fit my small women’s face perfectly too- I wear the same model for lap swimming. I find that they don’t leave the indentation around the eyes that older women get from performance goggles. Couldn’t be happier & will continue to order for both of us!

Great mask for swimming in pools and surf.

This mask is great when it is new. I found after using for a year that the lens anti-fog does not last more than a month and after daily use they seem to start leaking over time. There is no way to stop this leaking or remove and reseal the lens. The adjustment mechanism for the strap has improved since my last pair. For me it would be better if the contact surface where the straps connect to the mask would have a higher seal as it seems the straps actually apply force to lift the mask off the face in this area which becomes a problem if your using this in high turbulence like riding waves.

LOVED THIS MASK!! Although my initial thought was to return it due to the scratched up case it came in, the goggles themselves were perfect! The suction was great, no leakage, no feeling of my eyeballs wanting to pop out or anything like that. They were great for my tiny framed face and small head and worked great for my husband as well. I love that the frame on these were larger than just your eye sockets like some goggles are and they didn’t even leave any marks. Easy to adjust and put on! I used these for snorkeling in Mexico and they were perfect with the larger clear frames you could see everything! I will also be ditching my small eyeball sized swimming goggles and using these at the pool from now on. Some might say that would look silly, but comfort is key!

Great seal prevents leakage

These are my second pair of swimming goggles; the first brand I bought didn’t prevent water from getting in my eyes. These Aqua Sphere’s create a great seal around my face and no water gets in. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that it takes a lot of adjusting each time I put them on the create that seal. And a consequence of such an effective seal is that the indentation on my face when I remove them remains for over an hour! But hey, if you want to keep the water out of your eyes, it’s worth dealing with that. And btw – I didn’t realize that these are designated for men – I am a women and they fit fine.
